SMITS FARMS

Thank you for visiting our site. Smits Farms is a family owned business. It was started in 1990 by Carl Smits and his wife Debbie. Over the last twenty years Smits Farms has grown and experienced many changes. It all began with a single greenhouse, built in 1992. Today, Smits Farms has thirteen greenhouses and will continue to expand in the coming years!

We are excited to offer you quality bedding plants, perennials, and a variety of fresh herbs and vegetables. You can find us at our home on Sauk Trail or look for us at one of the many Farmer's Markets we attend in the city of Chicago or neighboring communities. As of August 2009, Smits Farms became Food Alliance Certified!  Food Alliance is a nonprofit organization that certifies that farms, ranches and food handlers are producing and processing food in a sustainable and safe way.
